These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ragan Awards Vault (the “Service”), operated by Lawrence Ragan Communications, Inc. (“Ragan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
The Awards Vault is a curated archive of award-winning communications and marketing work. It lets you browse and search entries, save work to personal collections (“My Vaults”), and, for eligible members, use AI-assisted features to explore saved entries. Availability of features depends on your access level and membership status.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Membership and Access
Some content and features require a paid membership. Memberships are personal to you and are non-transferable. You may not share your credentials or allow others to access the Service through your account. Multi-user access is available separately — contact us to arrange it. We may modify membership tiers, features, and pricing on a prospective basis.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose.
- Copy, scrape, redistribute, resell, or publicly post content from the Service except as expressly permitted in these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Share, resell, or transfer your membership or account access.
Content and Intellectual Property
The Service and its contents — including entries, text, images, and related materials — are owned by Ragan or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Unless otherwise noted, you may view and download content solely for your own personal, non-commercial reference, and you may make a single copy attributed to Ragan for use within your organization. You may not reproduce, distribute, or post content to multiple locations or the internet, or use it for consulting or client work, without our prior written permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the vaults you create and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content as needed to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the rights to do so.
AI Features
The Service may offer optional AI-assisted features. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and should not be relied upon as professional advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any output before relying on it.
When you use AI features, your prompts and related vault content are processed by a third-party AI provider, and inputs and outputs are retained indefinitely. Do not submit confidential information you would not want retained on this basis. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is handled.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ITS CONTENTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ragan will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for access during the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, including for violation of these Terms or for unlawful or harmful use. We may also modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
